Revealed the Liberal bloc in the Iraqi parliament, the existence of two options in the event of not resolving the issue of the Electoral Commission after the end of its work, noting that most of the political blocs reject extension.
The MP for the bloc Zeinab Sahlani said in a statement to the «Journal News», on Thursday, that "most of the political blocs reject the extension of the work of the current Electoral Commission, but there are some blocks disturb the quorum of the House of Representatives in order not to vote on members who were selected by the Committee Experts ".
"The House of Representatives and 15 days after the end of the work of the Commission, will have two options, either to remain the state without a Council of Commissioners or extension of the current Commission, as the Commission and its management and institutions, and disagreement only on the Board of Commissioners, and if not resolved, The general will continue its work, or can be assigned to one of the deputies to manage until the selection of a Board of Commissioners.
The Committee of Experts handed over the list of nine candidates, in addition to two other candidates, one of them for the Turkmen component and the other for the Christian component, "noting that" these names will all be presented if the proposal to increase the number of the Board of Commissioners was approved to 11 members. "
