Shafaq News / The Parliamentary Legal Committee announced on Monday, that the Parliament Speaker , Osama al-Nujaifi determined next Thursday as a deadline to resolve voting on the draft of elections law, indicating that Nujaifi requested of the parliamentary blocs to name representatives to held meetings to reach an agreement on the law .

“Any point or option submitted in the draft electoral law has not been resolved," adding that “all options cab be resolved and the main dilemma is in the electoral system issue and the distribution of seats, these two points are difficult,” The head of the Parliamentary Legal Committee , Khaled Shwani told “Shafaq News”.

“The Parliament Speaker, Osama al-Nujaifi met the legal committee," adding that “Nujaifi requested in the meeting of parliamentary blocs to determine a representative from each bloc for a permanent meeting in the Constitutional hall until reaching an agreement on the law”.

The Chairman of the Parliamentary Legal Committee noted that “Nujaifi requested that next Thursday’s session to be the late to resolve the draft electoral law otherwise extend to Eid al-Adha”.

A parliamentary source has revealed earlier on Thursday, that the Iraqi Parliament has postponed voting on the bill to the next legislative elections on Thursday of this week .

The Parliament failed in its past sessions in submitting election law for voting, while parliamentary sources excluded the agreement of the political blocs to pass the election law because of political differences

    .
The Independent High Electoral Commission demanded the parliament to speed up the passage of the election law for the purpose of maintaining the scheduled date for the elections without the extension
