[ltr]WASHINGTON (Reuters) - US President Donald Trump said "only one thing will work out" when dealing with North Korea after talks by previous administrations with Pyongyang failed to produce any results.[/ltr]
[ltr]"Presidents and administrations who have spoken to North Korea for 25 years have reached agreements, and many have been paid," Trump wrote on Twitter.[/ltr]
[ltr]"That did not work, the agreements were violated before the ink of their signature dries up, a mockery of the American negotiators.[/ltr]
[ltr]Trump did not explain anything he was referring to, but his comments seemed to support the possibility that he was thinking of military action.[/ltr]
[ltr]The US president threatened to "destroy" North Korea if necessary to protect the United States and its allies.[/ltr]
