[ltr]Basra (IraqiNews.com) Basra Governor Majeed Nasrawi, called Italy to invest and open a consulate in the province.[/ltr]
[ltr]A statement by Basra Provincial Council received by IraqiNews.com on Monday cited “Nasrawi received Italian Ambassador to Iraq and called to open Italy consulate in Basra.”[/ltr]
[ltr]“Nasrawi said during the meeting that Basra PC is about to build complex for the consulates in Basra for their great importance in building mutual relationships and to consolidate joint economic and investment ties”, the statement added.[/ltr]
[ltr]“Moreover, Nasrawi stressed the need for the well experienced Italian’s companies contribution in Basra’s strategic projects within 2014 plan, especially in tourism, economy and infrastructure”, the statement added.[/ltr]
[ltr]For his part, “The Italian Ambassador expressed his desire for pushing the Italian companies in Basra large projects and strengthen bilateral relations between Basra local government and Italy”, the statement concluded.[/ltr]
