The religious authority, Ali al-Sistani, on Sunday, expressed his condolences on the death of former President of the Republic, founder of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan Jalal Talabani, stressing that the latter was keen to collect the word and unity of the row.
"We have received with deep sorrow the news of the death of your great grandson, the former president of Iraq, Jalal Talabani," a cable of condolence from the office of Sayyid al-Sistani told Talabani.
He added that "Talabani was aware of things keen to collect the word and unity of the row," noting that the late "has played distinct roles in resolving the crises that hit the country after the fall of the former regime, is still remembered." Ending / 25
