    BAGHDAD - 
    Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem said the ongoing conflict in Syria for more than six years had entered its "final chapter" thanks to the support Damascus receives from its allies.
    Russia has launched a two-year air campaign in support of government forces in Syria, enabling it to achieve a series of victories at the expense of the opposition factions and the organization of preachers in several provinces.
    The teacher met with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov and discussed with him the situation in Syria, and described the teacher meeting as "constructive and useful." 
    "The importance of holding the seventh meeting of Astana on Syria, as well as the Geneva talks."
    Russia and Iran, the main allies of Damascus and pro-opposition Turkey, are sponsoring peace talks in Astana, in which agreement has been reached on setting up four tension-reduction zones in Syria.
