    [ltr]DAMASCUS, (SANA) - Syrian parties reached a cease-fire agreement in southern Damascus on Thursday at a meeting in Cairo under Egyptian auspices.[/ltr]
    [ltr]It was agreed at this meeting to open the crossings and reject the forced displacement of the population of the region, with the emphasis on opening the way for any faction to join the agreement.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Mohamed Alloush, the official of the political wing of the army of Islam, said that Egypt has made outstanding efforts to preserve the unity of Syria and support the political solution, and it was agreed to hold another meeting sponsored by Egypt.[/ltr]
    [ltr]He explained that the invitation, which he received from the Egyptian leadership, came to an agreement with the Russian side to stop the escalation in the eastern region of al-Ghouta and the neighborhood of al-Qadam south of Damascus, stressing that an agreement had been reached by a preliminary declaration of a ceasefire and a reduction of escalation.[/ltr]
