A source in the management of the Iraqi Airlines General Company said that the company left the employees of the contract holders operational in an unknown fate.
"The company has cut the salaries of these employees of more than 1,700 employees for the third month in a row and left them to the unknown fate," the source told the agency All Iraq. "The company's management stopped issuing administrative orders by installing the permanent owners and paying the salaries and allowances to contract employees only. "He said.
He added that "the company claims that the decision to appoint contracts have not been assigned to the degrees of functionality of the Finance Minister and that an administrative order issued by the Prime Minister to end their services."
The source pointed out that "the employees, despite not paying their salaries since last July and without knowing their fate, but they have remained consistently on the hope of their appointment and in turn, the management of the company said that the solution of the issue of contracts must be discussed in the House of Representatives."
He noted that "an administrative order was issued recently to bring wage workers daily to their previous work after they lived up to operating contracts."
"The company refused to pay the salaries that were delayed three months ago to contract employees on the grounds that their appointments are contrary to administrative laws."
