The US Geological Survey said on Saturday that a 5.4-magnitude earthquake hit the coast of southern Mexico late on Sunday.
"The earthquake hit a depth of 59.5 kilometers, and its center was located 9 kilometers off the coast in the state of Oaxaca near the city of San Dionisio del Mar," the agency quoted the agency as saying in a statement.
"So far, there have been no reports of damage or loss of life," she said.
An earthquake measuring 7.1 on the Richter scale hit southern Mexico City last month, killing more than 350 people and destroying dozens of buildings in the capital. Ending / 25 z
