    Iraqi-Iranian trade conference opens in Tehran with representatives of Kurdistan

    The business conference between Iran and Iraq started Sunday morning at the summit meeting hall in the Iranian capital Tehran.

    The conference, attended by high-level delegations from the Central Iraqi Government and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, aims to establish commercial contacts between local and Iraqi companies.

    Energy, building materials, foodstuffs, medicines, medical equipment, medical tourism, technical and engineering services, and officials of the Ministries of Commerce, Oil, Energy and Roads along with the Central Bank, Central Insurance, the Standards Organization, the Customs Department and the Health Organization of Iran.

    The conference will also be attended by the economic deputy of Iranian President Mohammad Nahandian, Minister of Industry Mohammad Shariatmadari, Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Ibrahim Mohammad Zadeh, Iranian Trade Advisor to Iraq Hamid Hosseini and the Secretary General of the Iranian-Iranian Chamber of Commerce.

    The conference focuses on the study of the new political and security situation in Iraq and its impact on the export of goods to the country and the identification of Iran's potential for exports, tourism, investment and the provision of technical and engineering services.
