    BAGHDAD (Reuters) -
The United States-led international coalition against Daqash on Sunday defended its stance on elements in the Syrian city of Raqqa, asserting that the only option is to surrender.

"The coalition will not allow foreign fighters to urge the departure of tenderness in Syria," spokesman Ryan Dillon told Sky News in an interview. "The only option for them is surrender."

He added that "there are a number of elements calling in Raqqa, they are holding civilians as human shields," after the Syrian Democratic forces launched their latest attack to grab the city.

"Some of the gunmen who pushed the locals were able to leave the city after an agreement with the Civil Council of the tender, saying that only those who left were" the Syrians, known by tribal sheikhs in Raqqa. "

He explained that "there are 275 local elements of the dads allowed to leave," noting that "this was not only in tenderness, but also occurred in Mosul, Iraq, when surrendered some members of the organization."

As for the foreign fighters, Dillon said that "they will not be allowed to leave," but the only option is to surrender.

"The fighters who fled from Raqqa towards the organization's stronghold in Deir al-Zour arrived at places controlled by their fighters, and we will continue to push them there to fight them and defeat the organization in Deir al-Zour."

The military spokesman stressed that "the coalition will work to defeat the fighters of Daash everywhere they go."

The Syrian Democratic forces announced earlier in the day that "3,000 civilians left until Saturday evening from tenderness, pointing out at the same time that 300 armed men from Daqash are still in the city.
