    The House of Representatives has only two critical options to resolve the file of the Electoral Commission, the first is the selection of nine new candidates for the Commission from the list of 36, or the presentation of the last to vote.
    The adoption of one option depends on the expected meeting between the Presidency of the House of Representatives and heads of blocs with the Committee of Experts, precedes the meeting. 
    The option of extension of the Commission is still in place, while parliamentary parties are talking about the possibility of restructuring a new committee of experts to take the task of opening the nomination again. 
    The circulation of these options under the pessimism of some of the parliamentary parties of the blocks to reach a compromise solution to resolve weeks of controversy over the fate of the Commission, which ended its mandate on 25 September last. 
    The deputy and member of the Committee of Experts Jassem Mohammed Jaafar, said in a statement to (the extent) yesterday, "The expansion of the Commission's Board of 11 members became the past after the parliament voted to reject this proposal, and also dropped the proposal to pass the nine names after breaking the quorum and invalidate the quorum for more than session".
    The House of Representatives voted in a meeting on Wednesday, to reject the proposal to amend the law of the Independent High Electoral Commission, which aims to raise the number of the Council of the Commission to 11 members to ensure the participation of some minorities. 
    The Speaker of the House of Representatives Salim al-Jubouri, during the meeting, the heads of parliamentary blocs and the Committee of Experts to select the members of the Electoral Commission for elections, stressing that "in the absence of an agreement will be the names of 36 candidates to vote are split in the form of components and who gets the highest votes is selected as a member of the Commission ". 
    Jassim Mohammed Jaafar said that "the parliamentary expert committee will submit two proposals, during its upcoming meeting with the presidency of the parliament and the heads of blocs, the first is to present the list of 36 candidates to choose nine of them, while the second proposal includes going to show the list of 36 on the vote."
    In August, Madaa revealed that members of the parliamentary committee of experts had reached an agreement to select 30 out of 116 candidates, including 3 minority candidates, to qualify for the final stage. 
    "The selection process will depend on the segmentation of candidates in the form of components," said a member of the committee of experts. "Whoever gets the highest votes will be selected in the new board of commissioners." He pointed out that "all candidates of the Shiite component will be offered to vote and will be selected the top five people, and this applies to candidates of other components." 
    "The nine candidates for membership of the Council of the Commission, five of them from the share of the National Alliance and two for the Sunni component and two for the Kurds," said a member of the bloc of state law, "expected to" set up a new committee of experts to choose a new board of commissioners in the event of failure of all solutions. "
    Jaafar asserts that "the failure will force the Parliament to extend the Council of the current Electoral Commission after the fall of all attempts and proposals made by various parties." 
    A few months ago, the House of Representatives formed a 29-member committee to select the members of the Electoral Commission. The National Alliance won 14 seats, compared to 7 for the Sunni constituency, 6 seats for the Kurds and two seats for each of the Turkmen and Christian components. 
    In the same context, describing the bloc of the Union of Forces meeting scheduled on Thursday, "the last opportunity to choose new names of the Electoral Commission." She stressed that "the hours that will precede the meeting of heads of blocs with the Presidency of Parliament and the Committee of Experts will resolve a lot of things." 
    The deputy head of the bloc, Noura al-Bajari, said in a statement to (Al-Mada) yesterday, that "
    The number of parliamentary blocs have boycotted the meeting, which called for the presidency of the House of Representatives last week to discuss the vote on the candidates of the new Electoral Commission. The boycott came in protest against some blocks on the visit of Salim al-Jubouri to the city of Erbil last week. 
    "The success of the upcoming meeting depends on the movement that will precede the meeting of the Constitutional Hall within each bloc and component," Al-Bijari said. But said, "I rule out the parties reach agreements that facilitate the passage of the names of the new Electoral Commission in Thursday's session." 
    The United Nations Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) disassociated itself from the work of the Parliamentary Committee of Experts and its party options, and denied that it had recommended the selection of party candidates to the 
    Electoral Commission Council .
