(Baghdad: Al Furat News) The inspection detachments of the Office of the Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior in the Baghdad Police Command managed to seize 224 hidden lawsuits in three Baghdad police stations without registering them in their basic records or taking appropriate legal action.
"The inspections were carried out on the instructions of Inspector General of the Interior Ministry, Mohammed Mahdi Mustafa, to follow up the investigative papers in the police stations, because their cases are related to the lives and rights of citizens," a statement issued by the agency said.
"The inspection detachments of police chiefs in the Baghdad district carried out inspections of police stations in Baghdad, including the police station of al-Muhtar of the second Sadr police station, the Zafaraniya police station and the Rashad police station of the new Baghdad police station."
He continued, "The inspection detachments discovered 103 lawsuits in the police station Almotor not registered in the base register of the center and hidden under one of the center's family, and found 92 other lawsuits at the police station Zafaraniya not recorded in the basic register and hidden, A lawsuit in the Rashad police station, where the detachments organized records of the seizure of fundamentalism and handed over the cases to the directors of the centers in order to take legal action on them.
He pointed out that "the inspection detachment opened the Directorate of Inspectorate Baghdad in order to form the boards of investigation against officers who hid these cases and not to register records base, because of their contact with the rights and lives of citizens."
