    Baghdad - Journal News
Qatar is still committed to the option of dialogue with the countries of the blockade to resolve the Gulf crisis, Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani said during a visit to Doha by his US counterpart Rex Tillerson.
In a joint news conference with Tillerson, Al Thani said the two sides discussed a number of issues in the Middle East, including the Gulf crisis.
Al-Thani pointed out that Qatar does not see any reasons for the continuation of the current crisis, stressing its willingness to engage in dialogue without preconditions.
The Qatari foreign minister also accused Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt of using non-diplomatic methods such as "tribalism, politicization of religion and other irresponsible actions" against the Qatari government.
Turning to Qatar's membership in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Al Thani said his country is still part of the organization.
Al-Thani stressed the importance of the council, pointing out that Qatar has not received any message about postponing the date of the upcoming Gulf summit, saying that holding it "will be a good opportunity for dialogue."
