    [ltr]The committee supervising the popular demonstrations of the Sadrist movement on Monday called for the accountability and prosecution of the corrupt members of the former Electoral Commission, while confirming the continuation of the peaceful demonstrations.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"While we congratulate the Iraqis on their simultaneous victory with a series of victories set by the armed forces, we promise the people to continue our peaceful demonstrations," the committee said in a statement received by Mawazine News.[/ltr]
    [ltr]And called for "accountability of those who proved corruption from the members of the former Commission and trial," calling on the judiciary to "take its role in the oppression of those who wronged an entire people and shed blood and sold his land and looted his wealth."[/ltr]
    [ltr]She added that "we register our reservation to the new Electoral Commission, and we will monitor its work and performance accurately, and will not be immune to the voice of the people and his will to change, if it followed the approach of its predecessor."[/ltr]
    [ltr]The committee called on the new electoral commission to "declare its independence from the parties and to work in a professional and sincere national effort, away from the narrow personal, partisan and partisan interests and to serve the people in their own eyes."[/ltr]
