    [ltr]Follow up of Mawazine News[/ltr]
[ltr]The UN envoy to Yemen, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, announced a three-pillar UN proposal to resolve the Yemeni crisis.[/ltr]
[ltr]Ould Cheikh said that the United Nations is currently considering steps to be taken by the parties to the Yemeni conflict: to restore the agreement to stop military operations, to implement confidence-building measures between the parties that would alleviate human suffering and to return to the negotiating table with a view to reaching a comprehensive peace agreement.[/ltr]
[ltr]Ould Cheikh revealed the plan after a visit to Riyadh, during which he met with Saudi and Yemeni officials. It is not known whether it is too optimistic or that there are new indicators that support its implementation.[/ltr]
[ltr]The United Nations has sponsored since mid-2015 three rounds of negotiations between the Yemeni parties, all faltered.[/ltr]
[ltr]And most importantly, that the suffering in the country is growing, and that there is a belief that the solution to the crisis only through political dialogue, so the UN envoy promised to intensify efforts with all parties to secure the conditions for return to serious bilateral negotiations.[/ltr]
