    The euro fell to its biggest weekly loss this year as falling key bond yields as investors boosted their bets that interest rates in the US will rise faster than in Europe.
    Currency investors bet on different outlooks for monetary policy between the US and Europe, as some market watchers were surprised by the level of monetary easing implied by ECB policymakers' comments at a monetary policy meeting.
    The euro fell 0.3 percent to $ 1.1611, its lowest level since July 20, heading towards the biggest weekly loss since the fourth quarter of 2016.
    German benchmark 10-year yields were 0.41 percent, close to a one-and-a-half-month low of 0.36 percent last week.
     
    The dollar index, which tracks the performance of the greenback against a basket of six currencies, rose 0.4 percent to 94.96, its highest level in three months and heading towards a weekly gain of 1.1 percent. Ending / 25
