Oil rises to $ 61 a barrel

Oil prices rose to $ 61 per barrel on Wednesday, with Brent crude rising to a three-year high.
By 7:15 am GMT, the benchmark Brent crude was up 0.5% at $ 61.25 a barrel, its highest level since December 2-14.
The price of NYMEX crude futures rose by 0.6% to $ 54.71 a barrel.
Later in the day, the release of US inventory data from the Energy Information Administration is due to be released.
The US Petroleum Institute (API) on Thursday forecast a 5.1 million barrel decline in US oil inventories during the week ending October 27, the highest level since December 2014.
