The US dollar was mixed against the major currencies on Wednesday ahead of the Fed's monetary policy meeting.
By 7:40 am GMT, the dollar was steady against the euro at $ 1.1640, while against the yen, it rose 0.2% to 113.89 yen.
The greenback was steady against the British pound at 1.3290. The dollar rose against the Swiss franc at 0.9985 francs by 0.09%.
The Fed is meeting today to issue a monetary policy decision, amid expectations that interest rates will remain unchanged.
The latest Fed minutes showed members' belief that the target inflation rate could take a long time, with the CPI in September at 0.5%, versus expectations that it would grow by about 0.6%.
Later in the day, data on jobs in the private sector, the ISM industrial index and construction spending in the US are due to be released later in the day. Ending / 25 g
