Trump shows a "serious loophole" in Twitter
Donald Trump indirectly caused a serious loophole in Twitter's social networking mechanism after it was found that a staff member was deliberately disrupting the US president's account for a short time on Thursday.
The disruption of the 11-minute-long Tramp account late last Thursday sparked widespread interest in social networks and questions about Twitter's security measures.
The president repeatedly uses Twitter to announce his policies, attack his opponents and criticize countries such as North Korea. Some users were quick to applaud the employee who disrupted the account of 41.7 million subscribers.
However, other users have expressed concerns about national security from the possibility of future staff involvement or technological failures related to the Trump account.
The incident comes at a time when Twitter has been criticized for dealing with the suspension of some accounts, misuse and terms of use are constantly changing.
"We have taken protective measures to prevent this from recurring," Twitter said on Friday. We will not publish all the details of our internal investigation or any updates on our security procedures. But we took the matter seriously and our teams are working on it. "
The New York Times quoted sources familiar with the incident as saying, Friday, that the employee in question was a contractor on Twitter.
