    [ltr]WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Unemployment in the United States fell to its lowest level in 17 years, driven by a rise in job creation in October, official data showed on Monday.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The unemployment rate fell from 4.2 percent in September to 1.4 percent in October, driven by 261,000 jobs, according to data released by the US Department of Labor.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The average job growth in the United States was 162,000 in the last three months, the report said, adding that the US economy has provided jobs for 85 consecutive months, a new record.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The US administration revised its job estimates for the past two months as employers added 208,000 jobs in August, up from 169,000 earlier.[/ltr]
    [ltr]In September, US employers added 18,000 jobs compared to previous estimates, showing a 33,000 drop in that month.[/ltr]
