French Attorney General Francois Mulan has revealed that French intelligence services estimate the number of French nationals in Iraq and Syria at 690, calling for careful handling.
"Our bodies estimate the presence of 690 French nationals in Iraq and Syria, including 295 women and 28 minors over the age of 15 fighting with terrorists, in addition to the presence of about 400 minors under the age of 15," Moulane was quoted as saying by France-Info radio.
He advised the prosecutor to exercise caution in dealing with returnees from Syria and Iraq, adding: "We are facing people who are disappointed with the organization of a preacher, but be careful that does not mean that they regret their actions.
