Baghdad / .. Revealed leader of the Kurdistan Alliance Zana Said, on Saturday, the most controversial points in the law of the elections of the House of Representatives, while stressing the existence of difficulties facing the holding of elections with deadlines set.
"There are many points of disagreement in the law on the election of the Council of Representatives, relating to the legal age, the age of the candidate, the academic achievement, the electoral system and the constituencies, and these points need extensive discussions to mature before the final wording and to include it to vote," Said said. That "the observations and proposals made by the parliamentary blocs will be included in the draft law of parliamentary elections and discuss in the coming days."
He added that "the Electoral Commission proposed to the Council of Ministers to hold parliamentary elections on 12 May next, and remains the last obstacle to agree on the law of electing the Council of Representatives," revealing that "there are other difficulties facing the holding of elections on deadlines, such as the return of displaced persons to their areas, Kurdistan and the federal government.
