    Economy News Baghdad:
The financial adviser to the Prime Minister, Dr. Mazhar Mohammed Saleh, said that the decision of the Council of Ministers to exempt contractors from the benefits of loans sends a positive message to the private sector.
Saleh said in an interview with "Economy News" that "exempting contractors from the benefits of the loans that they own is an important step to ease the burden on them because they are asking the government for funds on the projects they have completed."
He pointed out that "the decision is implemented on government banks that are rational and Rafidain and real estate and others," adding that "the government is currently paying the dues of contractors."
The Prime Minister, Haider Abadi, said Tuesday, November 7, 2017, "The Council of Ministers agreed to exempt contractors from the benefits of loans received from banks."
