Iraq seeks, through the Central Bank, to combat money laundering and terrorist financing through the adoption of the latest ways and means to deter the perpetrators of these crimes serve the national economy. The central course on combating money laundering and terrorism financing, compliance and risk management for the period from last September 17-20 , held at the bank building under the supervision of the Center for Banking Studies which, participated in the session 61 employees from the government and private banks and financial transfer systems may.

On the other hand , recently concluded a workshop on "Anti - Money Laundering" organized by the Economic Policy Institute of the Arab Monetary Fund in collaboration with the Financial Action Group for the Middle East and North Africa MENAFATF, in the city of Abu Dhabi.

The Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah Al- Hamidi, Director General Chairman of the Board of Directors, expressed the hope that the workshop had contributed to enriching the participants ' knowledge in this important topic stemming from the developments and developments of great importance to our economies and Arab societies.

The workshop focused on the main themes of the efforts of the Financial Action Group for the Middle East and North Africa in the fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism, and the recommendations of the FATF revised, along with the technical commitment, as well as discuss the risks and content.
