BAGHDAD - The Committee on Women, Family and Childhood on Sunday revealed the existence of mafias behind the work of underage girls in cafes, while stressing that this phenomenon is no different from the phenomenon of child trafficking.

"

"Most of the minor girls who work in cafes are not Baghdad dwellers, and they are exploited to work. This phenomenon is widespread in Erbil and Sulaymaniyah," she said. "The work of these girls is child trafficking, and this crime is committed openly."

Social researcher Hussein al-Kazimi warned on Sunday of the spread of the phenomenon of "employment" of minors, pointing out that the solution lies in the intermingling of the efforts of social, legal and governmental organizations.

The capital Baghdad is witnessing a proliferation in different areas, including youth cafes where minors work, in an attempt by cafe owners to attract young people and attract them to be pioneers. Finished
