Trump elects Alex Azar as health minister

US President Donald Trump on Monday named Alex Azar as new Health and Human Services Minister.
Trump said on Twitter, "Happy to announce, the nomination of Alex Azar to be Minister of Health and Human Services. Will be a star for better health care and lower drug prices. "
Azar has worked for 10 years at Eli Lilly and recently assumed responsibility for its operations in the United States.
But left in January to set up strategic consulting firm Seraphim Strategies, according to LinkedIn.
Mr. Azar has considerable experience in this ministry. He served as Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services from 2005 to 2007 during the administration of President George W. Bush and was its General Counsel for four years before taking office.
Azar's nomination comes six weeks after former health minister Tom Price resigned after a scandal over the use of private jets for his state flights.
