Transport Minister Kazem al-Hamami announced on Tuesday that a deal would be reached to activate a contract signed in 2013 for the purchase of aircraft from the Canadian company "Bombardier", pointing out that this contract will serve the fleet of Iraqi Airways with modern aircraft. 

Al Hamami said in a statement received by Al-Iqtisad News that he "visited today the headquarters of the Canadian aircraft manufacturer Bambardair at the Dubai Air Show to view aircraft contracted by Iraq in 2013 with the company to purchase five aircraft and has not yet been activated."
