    The Ministry of Planning announced that the rate of inflation for the month of October decreased by (0.6%) compared to the month of September, which was preceded by the decline in the prices of food, non-alcoholic beverages and other materials. 
    The inflation rate for the month of October rose to 0.1 percent compared to the same month of 2016, while the inflation index dropped by 0.7 percent in the month of October, October compared with September, while it rose by 1.1% compared to the same month of 2016.
    The change in the month of October 2017 compared to the month of 2017 was due to the food and non-alcoholic beverages sector (0.1%), contributing 4.5% Previous Month. And the fish group decreased by (1.8%) from the previous month. With the fruit group declining by (4.4%) from the previous month. As well as a decrease in sugars and sugar products by (0.1%) from the previous month. 
    He pointed to a rise in the group of milk, cheese and eggs by (0.1%) from the previous month. And the vegetable group increased by (2.4%) from the previous month. While the tobacco division maintained the same level of monthly change.
    The clothing and shoes section recorded a decline of 0.2%, contributing 1.9% to the monthly change rate. The decrease was due to the decrease in the clothing group by 0.1% and the shoes group by 0.2%. The housing sector recorded a decrease of 1.8%, contributing 85.2% to the monthly change rate. The decrease was due to a decrease of 0.7% in the rent group and a decrease of 9.7% in the water and electricity supply group. 
    The household equipment and maintenance department maintained the same level of monthly change. In addition to the Health, Transport and Communication Section. 
    Hindawi said that the entertainment and culture section recorded a decrease of (1.7%) contributing 4.7% in the rate of monthly change and kept the education section at the same level in the rate of monthly change.
    The Department of Restaurants recorded a decrease of 0.1%, contributing 0.2% to the monthly change, while miscellaneous goods and services decreased by 0.5%, contributing 3.5% to the monthly change rate. 
    The official spokesman of the Ministry of Planning pointed out that the annual change for October 2017 compared to October 2016 recorded a decrease of 3.7% in food and non-alcoholic beverages, contributing 1193.2% to the annual rate of change. 0.9%). And a decrease in the group of meat by (1.3%). With the decline of the group of fish by 16.1%, as well as the decrease of the group of milk, cheese and eggs by 2.0%. The group of fruits decreased by (2.5%). The group of vegetables decreased by (10.8%). Sugar and sugar products decreased by (0.2%), while the group of other food products increased by 1.4%.
    Hindawi said that the tobacco department recorded a decline of (0.2%) to contribute (-2.3%) in the rate of annual change. The clothing and footwear division recorded a decline of 0.2%, contributing 13.6% to the annual rate of change due to the decrease in the prices of the clothing group by 0.2%. The housing sector recorded a rise of 3.7%, contributing 1160.2% to the annual rate of change due to the rise in the rent group by 0.8%, the water and electricity supply group by 33.2% and the fuel group by 0.2%. 
    The household equipment and maintenance sector recorded a decline of (1.4%) to contribute by (100.0%) to the annual rate of change due to the decrease of furniture and equipment prices by (2.0%) and the decrease of the group of household appliances by 1.0%. While the health department recorded an increase of (0.9%) to contribute (45.5%) in the rate of annual change.
    The Department of Transport recorded a rise of 0.2%, contributing 33.0% to the annual rate of change. The Communications Department recorded a decrease of 1.3%, contributing 51.1% to the annual rate of change. (3.6%), contributing 69.3% to the annual rate of change. 
    The Department of Restaurants recorded a rise of (0.6%) to contribute (11.4%) to the annual rate of change. (1.0%) contributing 50.0% to the annual rate of change. 
    Hindawi said that the price survey for the month of October last year 2017 did not include the provinces of Anbar and Ninewa did not calculate the record because of the prevailing conditions.
