[rtl]Sumer News: Baghdad - The total amount of water discharges from the dam in the current phase has tripled compared to the previous earthquake in the region last week, the director-general of the Darbandikhan dam Rehman Khani said Monday.[/rtl]
[rtl]Khani said that before the earthquake, the water releases from the dam were 50 to 60 cubic meters per second. However, after the quake, the rate was raised to about 180 cubic meters per second.[/rtl]
[rtl]Khani added that the reason for the increase in the percentage of water releases has a goal and wants the administration to know the details of the risks facing the dam at the current stage.[/rtl]
[rtl]He explained that the decision to increase the release of water from the dam Derbandakhan was taken by the dam administration and a number of experts in the field of dams in Iraq.[/rtl]
