     North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has banned a number of "fun and fun" things in the country, such as singing, dancing and wine, the Daily Mail newspaper reported.

    North Korean President Kim Jong Il has issued a new ban banning alcohol, singing, dancing or other means of entertainment and play, North Korean officials said. The North Korean authorities did not explain the ban and gave no further details.

    The ban, announced by the North Korean leader, comes just months after the cancellation of the "beer" festival in Pyongyang.

    South Korean intelligence said earlier that Kim Jong-un was trying to control the country's population and limit their enjoyment of life.

    North Korea has strict control over citizens, which prevents travel to other countries and prevents the use of the Internet or browse global sites such as Google, Facebook and Twitter.

    North Korea and the United States have recently exchanged military threats against Pyongyang's ballistic missile tests. The latest tension between the two countries was the re-listing of North Korea as a state sponsor of terrorism.

    North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has announced a ban on fun and entertainment in the country, such as singing, dancing and wine, the Daily Mail newspaper reported.
    The newspaper quoted South Korean intelligence as saying Kim Jong-un was trying to control the country's population and limit their enjoyment of life.
    "The authorities in Pyongyang have banned any gatherings related to alcohol, singing, dancing or other entertainment," she said. "The North Korean authorities did not explain the ban and did not provide any explanation to the people of the country."
