The Times published a report by its correspondent in Beirut, Richard Spencer, in which he says that Iran is building an arc of Shiite influence on the ruins of the organization "Dahesh."
The report notes that "after the Syrian regime's control of the border town of Albuqmal with Iraq, Iran and its forces are building an" arc of influence "on the border with the Mediterranean Sea.
" The control of the town links the areas of the Syrian government with Iraq, "The commander of the Quds Force in the Revolutionary Guards, Qassem Soleimani, directed the battle in Bou Kamal," according to some reports.
Sulaimani, who is often seen as the shadow man of the Middle East, went public during the battle in Syria, in which Iran supported the Syrian regime, in the battle against the "Da'ash" organization in Iraq, and Iran supported Shiite forces in Iraq , And appeared Sulaimani in the battles in both Iraq and Syria. "
"The defeat of the Arab-Western triangle has been accomplished by completing the passage from Tehran to the Mediterranean," the report quoted a report by Mashreq News as saying. "We have to wait for the change in balance in Western Asia and the world."
"Major General James Gard of the US military last month expressed his hope that US and US-trained forces would prevent the Iranians from taking control of both sides of the border," Spencer said.
The Times concludes its report by pointing out that the troops have taken control of the Iraqi town of Al-Qaim, which is opposite Bu-Kamal. The forces have moved, and the Syrian forces have helped to control Al-Bu Kamal.
