BAGHDAD / Transport Minister Kazem al-Yamami announced on Wednesday that two giant ships will join the Iraqi navy and a loading capacity of 30 thousand tons, adding that the ships will have eight ships.
"Two ships will be working to transport ration card loads as well as rice and wheat payloads for the Iraqi-Vietnamese company," Al-Hammami said in a statement received by Iraq News. "Two ships will be joined by the Iraqi navy and a loading card of up to 30 thousand tons."
He added that "the Iraqi commercial fleet did not reach this level of transport of cargo," stressing that "the accession of the two ships to the fleet of the General Company for Maritime Transport for the first time is an achievement added to the achievements of the Ministry of Transport in this regard."
He explained that "the number of ships will be 8 after the accession of the two giants," pointing out that "the ministry is currently considering the possibility of purchasing ships with large capacity for the purpose of transporting wheat payloads between America, Australia and Iraq." Finished
