    (Reuters) - Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi warned on Thursday of what he called "crackdowns" aimed at "shuffling the cards" in the country.

    Abadi said in a speech during a meeting with the Supreme Authority for Coordination between the provinces today, that "fighting corruption is not a slogan, but is an act to purge state institutions of corrupt, and this work is considered."

    He pointed to the existence of campaigns of corrupt to mix the papers and accusing everyone of corruption, adding that "the more we eliminate corrupt we will increase strength."

    Abadi said that "we have to distinguish between a simple administrative error and real corruption," noting that there is indirect corruption is the implementation of projects are not of importance to the citizen and not priorities of the province, which led to the development in the country is not the size of spending.

    "We have priority for water and sanitation projects and roads, as there are frightening numbers of road accidents in Iraq," he said.
