    BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Economist Salam Samisem warned on Thursday of continued international borrowing, amid the fact that this borrowing is destroying Iraq's current and future economy.

    "The continuation of international borrowing is the destruction of the Iraqi economy, the state's economic policy is taking international loans and this harms the economy and affects the next economy, which represents the future of Iraqi generations," Samisem told "Iraq News", stressing that "loans must be accompanied by Strong economic policy and resolute and without that can not provide loan funds anything to Iraq, especially with the presence of corruption. "

    "Because the economy is free of transparency, we do not know what loan funds are doing, nor is there anyone who monitors it transparently," she said.

    On Thursday, the Finance Ministry signed the first phase of the German loan of 500 million euros for the Ministry of Electricity.

    In November 2016, the Ministry of Planning announced the inclusion of a German loan of 500 million euros under the Financial Budget Act of 2017, referring to the agreement with a German delegation to form a joint team of advisers to study the list of projects financed by the loan. Finished
