    On July 18, 2017, the Khawr Abdullah parliamentary committee announced that it had filed a lawsuit against the Iraqi parliament and the Iraqi government for waiving this right, in addition to instituting a lawsuit in the international courts to restore the rights of Iraq.[/size]
