WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The US Senate on Saturday approved a huge fiscal tax bill, submitted by President Donald Trump.
"This is an important moment for American families and small businesses waiting to turn the page of slow economic recovery under Obama," said Republican Senator John Cornin.
All Republicans in the Senate except Bob Curker voted for reform, while the democratic minority opposed it unanimously.
Before the vote, two amendments, one Republican and the other democratic, were adopted in a long series of voting.
It is now necessary to reconcile the text adopted by 51 votes to 46 and the version adopted by the House of Representatives on 16 November.
This will be the first major reform in the 45-year-old president after failing in the fall to repeal the health insurance law approved by his predecessor, Barack Obama, in fulfillment of an electoral promise he made. Ending / 25 g
