    The Syrian media reported that a military post near Damascus came under Israeli bombardment at dawn on Saturday.

    The Syrian air defenses responded to an Israeli attack on a Syrian army post south of Damascus, the Russian news agency Sputnik quoted a field source as saying.

    The source added that "Israel fired five rockets on a site belonging to the first division of the Syrian army between the areas of Alkaswa and Sahnaya southern suburb of Damascus, and the air defense anti-aircraft to three of them, while the remaining two missiles near an ammunition depot, which led to several explosions."

    There were reports that Israeli aircraft bombed the Iranian base, which is being built in the area of ​​Alkaswa near the capital Damascus, air-to-surface missiles from Lebanese airspace.

    The Israeli air strike on Syria at dawn on Saturday targeted an Iranian military base 50 kilometers from the Syrian-Israeli border, the Times of Israel reported on Sunday.
    According to the newspaper, all the Israeli planes fired at the targeted base were 5 missiles, although there were many loud explosions after the attack, which meant that Israeli rockets caused explosions in weapons and ammunition depots at the target location.
    Earlier on Saturday, Syrian media reported that air defenses had responded to an Israeli missile attack.
    A Syrian source confirmed that the attack took place south of Damascus.
    The Israeli army did not comment on the strike, but Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a statement asserting that Tel Aviv would not allow the presence of Iranian troops in Syria and would not allow Tehran to acquire nuclear weapons.
