    [ltr]The United Nations Security Council on Tuesday held an emergency session on Yemen after the killing of former president Ali Abdullah Saleh by the Yemeni group "Ansar Allah" (Houthis).[/ltr]
    [ltr]"The humanitarian and security situation continues to deteriorate as the suffering of the Yemeni people continues to worsen," said the statement by UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan.[/ltr]
    [ltr]He added: "is scheduled to hold the Security Council Tuesday an open session during which the representatives of the Member States to benefit from the UN envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Sheikh Ahmed on the latest developments in the Yemeni arena."[/ltr]
