    Started in the province of Basra, the events of the oil and gas exhibition in Basra in its seventh session with the participation of local companies, Arab and international and the presence of oil ministers Jabbar al-Luaibi and Saudi energy Khalid Abdul Aziz al-Falih and continue for three days.


    The governor of Basra, Assad Abdul Amir Al-Aidani, "a speech welcoming the Saudi Energy Minister and his companies," calling on Saudi companies to enter the investment sector in Basra. Expressing his gratitude to all the attendees and companies participating in Basra International Fair in its seventh session.


    Saudi Energy Minister Khalid Abdul Aziz Al-Falih praised the Iraqi government's efforts to promote the Iraqi economy and invest its resources, pointing out that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia looks forward to participating actively in the construction and development process in Iraq. 


    He explained that the Saudi pavilion at the exhibition involved 22 companies from the largest Saudi companies specializing in oil and gas.


    He added that "Iraq and Saudi Arabia are seeking to develop development capabilities and build partnerships, in a strategy in the interest of the two countries, including oil and mineral resources. 


    "Cooperation between Iraq and Saudi Arabia enjoys the attention and patronage of the crown prince," he said, adding that important steps have been taken in the area of ​​cooperation between the two countries during the past two months.


    He pointed out that the Saudi companies were urged to speed up the entry into the Iraqi market and the implementation of investments, pointing to the signing of 13 memorandums of understanding between Saudi and Iraqi companies for oil and gas, and the opening of an office of (TAQA) Saudi Arabia in Iraq.


    "SABIC is in the process of reopening its offices in Iraq, and a committee has been set up to work on a giant project to connect the two countries," he said.


    For his part, Oil Minister Jabbar al-Allaibi said in a speech that "Saudi Arabia's participation in this vital economic exhibition is a historic opportunity to establish a base for cooperation and establishment of joint projects between the two countries." 


    "The Iraqi government is keen to further strengthen relations with Saudi Arabia, and we are working hard to strengthen these relations."


    "The oil and gas exhibition is attended by 110 companies, including American, Italian, Iranian, Turkish, Emirati and Egyptian. The participation of Saudi and Iraqi companies was the luck of the exhibition.
