Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi discussed at his residence in Paris the Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono and his accompanying delegation to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields, political, security, economic and post-emergency situations in addition to the situation in the region.
The Japanese Foreign Minister congratulated Japan for the unity of Iraq, the restoration of liberated areas, cooperation in all fields and the country's readiness to actively participate in the Kuwait reconstruction conference in Iraq.
Abadi stressed the importance of strengthening relations with Japan and opening new horizons for joint work between the two countries in various sectors and thanked all the countries that helped Iraq in its war against terrorism, pointing out that Iraq has emerged victorious in the unity of its people.
