A power failure at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in the United States has left thousands stranded at the busiest airport in the world.
A fire broke out at one of the facilities of the company that distributes electricity to the state of Georgia, where the airport is located.
According to the American media, the disruption of power that affected all operations at the airport, led to the delay of about a thousand flights.
Atlanta Mayor Kassem Reid vowed to do everything possible to resolve the problems of stranded passengers.
He pointed out that the supply of electricity to the airport again will take many hours, as major power lines were damaged by the fire.
