Cabinet agrees to open a consulate of Kuwait in Erbil and the other in Basra
BAGHDAD - Iraq Press - 23 October / October: A statement issued by the Council of Ministers that "the Council approved the recommendation of the Foreign Ministry to open a consulate general of the State of Kuwait in the province of Arbil, according to the provisions of Articles 25 and 26 of the Law on Foreign Service No. (45) for the year 2008, that the Republic of Iraq reserves the right to open a consulate general in the State of Kuwait in the future in accordance with the principle of reciprocity. "
He added that "the Council of Ministers instructed the Ministry of Finance to allocate funds to the State Department, for the purpose of the contribution of the Republic of Iraq in the United Nations Fund for Emergency Ministry's budget," noting that "approved the recommendation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the reopening of Consulate General of the State of Kuwait in the province of Basra."
The statement stressed "Adoption of the recommendation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the open honorary consulate of the Federal Republic of Brazil in Erbil", alluding to the approval of the Council on "the nomination Sven Cindy honorary consul of the Consulate of the aforementioned."
The Council of Ministers approved "on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the membership of the Committee on Information (COI) affiliated to the General Assembly of the United Nations," according to the statement. Ended. H
