Interior Minister Qassim al-Araji discussed with Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and Prime Minister Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani the opening of an embassy for Doha in Baghdad.
Al-Araji's office said in a statement that "the Emir of the State of Qatar met with Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and discussed a number of issues of common interest and means of enhancing them for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples. Terrorism and the idea of extremism, thus contributing to the strengthening of common Arab security. "
"The two sides discussed the opening of the embassy of the State of Qatar in Baghdad, the reconstruction of liberated areas and the contribution of brothers and friends in supporting Iraq in this framework," the interior ministry said.
In turn, Prince Tamim al-Thani said that his country "will be keen on this during the next year."
Al-Araji met Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani and discussed with him a number of security issues and enhancing the basis of constructive cooperation between the two countries on the security level.

"During his visit to Qatar, he called for the formation of an Arab and Islamic security system to combat terrorism and extremism in all its forms, address its causes, dry up its intellectual and financial resources and expose its traffickers," the office said in a statement.
The statement added that "Araji also called for the closure of extremist satellite channels that spread hatred and hatred among the peoples and hold those responsible."
