    Information / Baghdad ..
Washington - Keeping Prime Minister Haider Abadi in power is a top priority for the United States in the coming period, The Washington Post reported on Tuesday.
"Keeping the Iraqi prime minister in power is a big priority for the United States, which has cooperated closely with him in the recent war against a pro-Western organization," the newspaper said in a report.
The newspaper added that "Washington believes that Abadi is a reliable leader in curbing Iran's influence in Iraq, and a consensual figure who can lead national reconciliation between the different spectra."
The newspaper pointed out that "Sistani's comments are likely to help Abadi," warning at the same time the negative consequences of "resolving the popular mobilization, which may create a big problem." Ending / 25
