BAGHDAD / NINA / The independent MP, Mahmoud Othman warned from the incompatibility of the political blocs on the electoral law before the parliament's holiday in 15 November, describing the lack of compatibility and adoption of amendments of the election law in the specified period as dangerous for the future of the country.
Othman demanded to find a quick solution to this law and agreed upon before the specified period; because the country, after this date, will pass a constitutional vacuum and will enter a maze that cannot be getting out easily. "
He explained, "The consensus on the election law depends on flexibility from the political blocs and agree on common denominators, adding that the current political process is marred by uncertainty and this applies to the relationship of the political blocs with each other."
He added, "It is difficult to return to the election law of 2005 and modify some of its paragraphs," noting that" the Kurdistan Alliance rejects return to hold the next parliamentary elections according to the old law."
It is mentioned that rapporteur of the House of Representatives, Iraqiya MP, Mohammed al - Khalidi warned from failure to approve amendments to the election law within the period set by the Presidency of the Council of Representatives in the 30th of the current month ./ End
