Iran's Trade Development Organization (ETO) has announced the export of 500 tons of iron bars for the first time through the bourse to Iraq.
Iran's trade attaché in Iraq, Nasser Behzad, said the steel produced at the Ruhina Steel Complex in Khuzestan province in southwestern Iran had been offered at the price of $ 500 per tonne and 500 tons had been sold to Iraq.
The Ruhina steel complex produces 500,000 tons of iron rails annually; this volume is expected to rise to 1.5 million tons in three phases to reach 3 million tons within a specific program within two years.
The first phase of this complex was inaugurated in April under the auspices of the First Vice President of the Republic and the Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade, along with a number of officials in the country.
