    The governor of Najaf al-Ashraf, Louay al-Yasiri, denied what some of the imaginary pages on social networks reported the signing of a privatization contract for electricity in the province.

    "We in the Civil Administration have implemented the decision of the provincial council refusing to privatize electricity in the province as well as our insistent federal government to wait for the application in the province and renew today also our call to the federal government to do so."
