    Minister of Interior Qasim al-Araji stressed during a conference held with the Civil Status Department in Kurdistan to abide by constitutional laws and articles by arranging the relationship between the federal government and the region.

    "The year 2018, with the help of God, is a good year for all Iraqis, and the new year will witness more cooperation, overcoming difficulties and solving problems, and we must compete to provide service to citizens both inside and outside the region," he said.
    For his part, the Director General of Civil Status, Passports and Residence Maj. Gen. Mahdi Ne'ma al-Waeli at the beginning of the conference, according to the statement, a detailed explanation of the Civil Status, Passports and Residence in the Kurdistan Region, where he noted that "Erbil province contains two passport circuits, one department for residency and 32 departments of conditions Civil and 11 unified card departments have been activated, and 21 information offices on housing restrictions and one air outlet and one land port is the port of Haj Omran. 
    He added that "Duhok governorate contains one passport department, one residence department, 14 situation departments, five national unified card departments, 10 information offices and one land outlet, Ibrahim al-Khalil. The governorate of Sulaymaniyah contains two passports, one residence and 35 civil affairs departments, 9 operating for the national card, air port, two official ports of Bahrain and three informal land crossings. "
    The statement added that "the conference also included a discussion of a number of frameworks of relationship between the departments of the status of the Center and the region and the need to work to provide the best services to citizens in the framework of the Constitution and the law."
