The traces of blue and purple snow were found in a suburb of the Russian city of Petersburg, while experts are analyzing the mysterious phenomenon.
"The ice found on a street pavement carries a light blue shadow," the Interfax news agency reported. The ice, which was discovered near a deserted building in another part of the city, is purple. "
In the northern province of Arkhangelsk in 2013, snow fell in red, while the province itself saw in 2008 the fall of yellow snow.
